You must mean someone else, maybe Mattress Firm. I cannot find a Sleep Outfitters in the state of Florida.

The guy at the Springfield location locked the door so he could eat his lunch. After 30 minutes, he finally let me in.

The display mattresses were dirty and stained. I asked about the sleep trial and he told me that when mattresses are returned they are either "cleaned" or used as displays.

Seriously, if I'm not lucky to get delivered a used mattress, I can just go there to lay on one, oh, after "bub" has had his lunch..

Do not shop here! They over charged me $50 for a pillow. The company that makes the pillow doesn't even have them priced at what I paid at sleep outfitters.

Defective Mattress. -not Pissed yet

Hendersonville, TN. Sleep Outfitters. We purchased our mattress from the Hendersonville, TN. location Dec. 2013 for our Guest Bed rm. to use on the rare occasions that we have guests. Today is Aug. 21, 2014 and there is a very noticeable, very uncomfortable 1.5" sag/depression in the middle of this mattress. -which has NOT been slept on regularly. Two people CANNOT sleep comfortably and will "Roll" to the center during the night. We did purchase the mandatory "Stain Guard" protector to fulfill the Return/Warranty condition as stated and required by the Sales assoc./Manager Michelle White. I will now pursue my Return at this store and report my experience back to this site and others, Facebook, etc... I hope they stand behind their product and I do not have an experience similar to what some have written. Product failure is undesirable but, understandable sometimes. Customer Service Failure is never understandable or acceptable. To be continued....

Delivery rescheduled three times!

I was promised delivery on a certain date and didn't receive my mattresses. I was called the day of delivery and told that I needed to reschedule the rescheduled day was for the following week and I was again called the day of delivery and told I would receive them the following day. I will never shop at Sleep Outfitters. Another complaint you have to call a 1800 number for a refund you cant get refunded in stores! I would not recommend purchasing anything from this store. They make a lot of promises to you while your giving them your money

Defective Mattress - This company makes money off of restocking fees for defective mattresses

My husband and I purchased a $700+ mattress on Sale at the Gemini Place location in Columbus Ohio on August 4th. We advised the sales agent that we were not going to purchase a mattress unless we were guaranteed to have it by Monday August 12th. She stated that was no problem that she would have it in the store by the 6th for us to pick up. We picked up the mattress on Tuesday August 6th. Upon getting the mattress home and out of the wrapper we noticed that one side of the mattress was damaged, indented and that there was a large gap on the side between the material inside the mattress and the external material. We immediately called the store and they advised us that we would either have to take the mattress to the warehouse to have it looked at or they could send us a technician that would determine if it was defective and swap the mattress out. We advised that we needed to have the mattress by Monday August 12th, We had already disposed of the older mattress and our son is starting school on the 13th and we cannot have him sleeping on the floor. The sales associate said that should not be a problem and said that they would call us within 2 days and have a tech out to our house. I contacted the store again today and advised them that we needed to bring the mattress back and go somewhere else to purchase another one that was in stock as no one had contacted us and I needed a mattress by Monday. He said that we could bring the mattress back but they would charge us a restocking fee of $150.00 which is ridiculous considering this is a DEFECTIVE mattress, they should not be restocking and reselling it to someone that is going to have the same problem. He said that he could TRY to have a technician come out on Monday August 12th and that if they deemed it defective then it would take a few days to get it replaced. I wonder how many restocking fees this company has made off of this normally priced $1200.00 mattress already... I am returning this mattress tomorrow, I do not believe that I should have to pay a restocking fee for a defective item especially when I have made it very clear with every interaction that I have had with this company that I needed this mattress by Monday August 12th. I would NOT advise purchasing from this company EVER .

Bad products

I purchased a mattress and within 3 months there was a 4 inch dip in it.......within 6 months a spring was sticking out of the mattress It took me 4 months to get someon to look at it and when they agreed to replace it, they gave mw little money back plus they would charge yet another delivery fee and they said I would need to buy this 695.00 mattress as the one I bought was discontinued because of poor quality, They are very hard to deal with and you must stay on them daily to get anything done.

I've worked in mattresses before...sounds like you are A.) Full of it. a four inch impression is highly irregular b.) They don't make you buy a specific exchange mattress anywhere and c.) You surely signed an invoice explaining redelivery fees...they aren't until...if you had a warranty issue that would be through the manufacturer not the retailer...that's common.sense.

So I just caught you in one lie or another. I feel sorry for the store you sound like one of those people who expects caviar for mcdouble prices

I had the same problem with an indention big enough to put a small pillow in. They are still giving me the run around making it so hard that they think I will give up.

Dont buy from them

we had a problem with the first delivery so we called the store and the salesguy hung up on us . he did not have time for us. he was busy trying to scam somebody else. then we had to exchange are matress for another one and they only let us return the matress but not the boxspring so now we do not have a matching set. even thou we paid an extra 200.00 dollars and 50.00 for the delivery. we will never buy from them again. they are very rude and do not care about their customers. so please dont buy from them.

Yeah right. They let you return only one piece?

Most mattress sales are final so that's really nice of them.

What Did you do to the boxspring ? Anyone whose bought furniture know it has to be in the original condition for exchanges...next time don't tear stuff up and try to return it.

This isn't my complaint, but but your little ignorant .02 cents is childish and assuming. Assuming is for ***.

We've actually had the same issue with Sleep Outfitters and followed ALL of the rules for their return policy. Because some people ARE smart enough to read the fine print and see that the 120 day "comfort guarantee" policy is written in a very shady manner. It would not matter one iota if you followed all of the return policy guidelines in order to be able to take a mattress or box spring back. Box springs are not listed as one of the approximately ten items on their NO RETURNS list.

We had all the original packaging, used extra care so that their were no blemishes whatsoever and made our request to return well within the period of time in their written policy and they STILL made it difficult.

We ended up returning it anyway.

So do yourself and the world a favor and go jump off a *** bridge you *** piece of ***.

Poor customer satisfaction

I purchase a King size Simmons mattress from Sleep Outfitter five years ago for $2300.00. After one year the mattress had two indentations where we sleep. I contacted Sleep Outfitters and they sent someone to the house who through a string across the bed and with no ruler or tape measure said that it was within tolerance. They told me it had to be indented more then 1 1/2 inch. It did not matter that it was about one inch and that as soon as you lay down you sink way in because the support was all gone. Very poor customer support.

Who doesn't ask details warranty when spending thousands of dollars?...warranty is through the manufacturer...so why are you mad at the sales people? and if you're fat don't get a soft mattress that will indent easily.

I purchased a S&F mattress from Sleep Outfitters. the 30 day comfort deal is a joke.

The think comes in a plastic so thick its impossible to sleep on. So, we had to remove the plastic. This mattress alone was $1,000 on sale. I have not slept since the purchase.

They will not return. My back is in severe pain!

I cannot sleep on the worthless mattress. Will never buy from here again nor will any one I know.

Since this post is still getting views I thought I would give an update...Although this story is old news, here is what happened. The President of the company did call us after many calls and emails, her daughter was going to UK at the time there in Lexington, so she was familiar with us And our businesses.

She DID finally stand behind her product and eventually they came, picked up the bad mattress and we went and got our Tempeurpedic mattress.

This happened in 08, but we still have that Tempeurpedic mattress even now and LOVE it. So all is right in the world.

We purchased a 2 mattresses from one of their stores 4 months ago...we have tried for 1 month to get someone to come inspect our mattress. Visually it is higher on the right hand corner than the middle or even the other side. It did not sleep well and we rolled to the middle. Finally the "delivery guy" came out to "inspect" the mattress. I received a call today from the Customer service man that said that our mattress was only 1 inch off....it had to be 1 1/2 inches off before the warranty would cover it. I was even willing to give them my business again and buy a Tempurpedic from them if they would take it back. They will NOT back up the quality of their product, nor do they sell quality merchandise. They DO NOT stand behind it.

Used to work in the mattress industry...warranty issues are set by the manufacturer not the retailer...ASK BEFORE YOU BUY...IT IS YOUR JOB TO KNOW YOUR WARRANTY ON A BIG PURCHASe!!!! Also the inch and a half standard is on innersprings i.dustry wide memory foam is a 3/4th inch warranty trigger so don't lie and say you were going to buy a tempurpedic....that's foam.
